About Yellowstone Log Homes of Minnesota

Yellowstone Log Homes inside entry way on main floor at Mcgregor Log Home 4466

We are Matt and Mary Enderle of McGregor, MN. We and our construction crew have been in the log home construction business for over twenty years. We have extensive knowledge in log home buildings. Recently we expanded our services to include the interiors of our custom made home designs.

Douglas fir and Lodge Pole pine trees harvested from the Yellowstone National Forest and surrounding area are used for the wall structures. These trees, standing dead because of the forest fires in the late 1970s, are harvested with helicopters, brought to Rigby, Idaho, milled for building and shipped to us.

The main thing that sets us apart from other log home builders is that we specialize in unique handcrafted work. We travel out to the west coast and hand pick trees for our homeowners. We find trees like Juniper, Burly Maple, White Cedar - trees with lots of character! We also use Diamond Willow for our staircases, railings, etc.

Local Norway pine is used to make the handmade trusses and perlins to support the roof system. Norway and White Pine are used for the wall logs and roof system when using the a technique called the “full hand scribed house.”
